Royal Bermuda Yacht Club
About Royal Bermuda Yacht Club
The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club was established on November 1, 1844 by discussion, under a calabash tree in Tom Moore's Jungle.
It's now got over 800 members and is a family centre for sailing, cruising, relaxing and socialising. Lunch is served daily and there's always a Friday night dinner.
There's also a Royal Bermuda Yacht Club cocktail. The recipe is here featuring a rather mysterious ingredient, falernum.
Sailing
The club has a rich sailing heritage and is home to the Newport Bermuda Race - from Newport, Rhode Island to Bermuda - and the Bermuda Gold Cup which should be with us again in 2024 following a pandemic cancellation. The club is also an RYA training provider.
Moorings and marinas
The club has a marina that can hold 150 and has full shoreside amenities. There's guidance for visiting boats here.
Club status
